The 2011 BCCA National Show Committee and the Bearded Collie Club of Maine would like to thank all of our supporters, volunteers, sponsors, donors, attendees, fans, the staff of The Colony Hotel, judges, exhibitors, stewards, secretaries... well, the list goes on and on. Thank you! Despite some wet weather at the beginning of the week, we had a great time. We hope you all did too, and that you had enough lobster and Items from L.L. Bean's!
The show itself might be past, but it's not over for us yet. Here are the show results.
What we do have online is our Logowear/General Store Clearance Sale. Come get the items you wish you'd picked up at the show, but at discount prices! We have one or two left of a number of items — particularly in the logowear — so when they're gone, they're gone.
The BCCA2011 Specialty Committee and the Bearded Collie Club of Maine welcome you to the first National Specialty to be held in Maine, and the first to be held in New England since 1998.
We'll have all of the traditional events — competitive and non-competitive — and we hope you'll take some time to look around and enjoy your surroundings. October is prime foliage season in Maine. The Colony is just a short trolley ride from the center of Kennebunkport with its restaurants and shopping, and only a 45-minute drive from the famed L.L. Bean main store (open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year) and the rest of the Freeport outlets. You'll be close to innumerable seafood restaurants, fishing and sailing charters, dog-friendly walks and hikes, and a host of other fun activities.
